Dr. Van Orman is the BEST dentist ever. I can’t say enough good things about the whole dental group. Found these folks when I moved to PDX area in 2023 based on recommendations from coworkers. They are a great dentist! Super gentle and very easy to work with. The folks are friendly and you can tell they really care about their patients. Had 4 visits so far and each one has been super easy.

Update Sept 2025: Still a great dentist and office. The go the extra mile when checking your insurance to keep out of pocket costs low. I can’t recommend these guys enough!!

Getting fillings, crowns, veneers, isn't fun and frankly can be a bit scary....Dr. Van Orman has a very gentle manner and is always mindful of your comfort level. He is extremely skilled and does amazing work. In addition he is there for you during emergencies and has made personal phone calls after a few of my lengthier procedures to see how I was doing. My family was lucky to use the services of the Van Orman dental group for many years; too many years to remember, but likely over 15 years. The service was very good when we started, but I believe it only got better over the years. Exemplary service: He left his house at midnight for an emergency extraction of a broken tooth, for which my daughter was in great pain. He even called the next day (weekend) to check up on her.

Dr. Van Orman is very professional and experienced, but he also kept learning as technologies evolved. Furthermore, the staff was always great, from the front office to the assistants and hygienists, but I believe they have also gotten even better over time. We always were well-informed of costs and insurance benefits in a timely fashion, and treated fairly. I wasn't the best patient, but they always treated me with positive encouragement and patience.

Unfortunately, we recently moved from Oregon and now hope we can find a dentist we can appreciate and trust as much as we did Dr. Van Orman. Since we were not personal friends outside the dental office, and are no longer in the area, we have no personal reasons for providing this review except for our appreciation of Dr. Van Orman and his staff.
