With over 25 years of experience in general and cosmetic dentistry, Jeffrey Van Orman, DMD, proudly serves the southwest metro-area community of Lake Oswego, Oregon. At Van Orman Dental Group, patients can expect exceptional care from a dedicated team of highly skilled professionals.

After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 1997, Dr. Van Orman founded Van Orman Dental Group with a commitment to delivering top-quality care. For over two decades, he has continued to serve the community with a passion for creating healthy, confident smiles.

In addition to offering a full range of general and cosmetic dental services, Dr. Van Orman has specialized training in treating sleep apnea and snoring, providing patients with effective solutions for better sleep and overall well-being.

Great dental office! Everyone on the team is super patient, caring, and genuinely kind. I go regularly for cleanings, but have also done fillings and trays/retainers for straightening. Everyone is knowledgeable and provides an easy approach to explaining options and procedures. The schedule is well managed and each patient gets the full attention of the staff and you won't be rushed in/out. Highly recommend!

I am a first time patient and drove 4 hours from Pasco, Washington to get treated by Mr Fantastic, Dr Van Orman! Dr Van Orman and his entire team created a warm, empathetic, polite and very knowledgeable environment from start to finish. My root canal and cavity filling went flawlessly and I feel extremely comfortable coming to his practice for all my treatments! I’m glad the Army allows QTC medical services to encompass this practice! With Dr Van Orman, I look and feel more comfortable and confident with my new smile!

I've been treated (more like cared for) by Dr. Jeff (DJ) and his amazing team for 6-7 years now. What an amazing team of wonderful, professional individuals. I'm always greeted with a friendly welcome and my comfort is always priority #1. Never have I had work done where I felt angst or let alone pain.

Dr. Van Orman is truly an artist and a gentleman. I have been going to his dentistry for about 20 years and have had the best of care. He and his staff have treated me like family. My dental care is difficult, and Dr. Van Orman has risen to the challenges I have presented. For a short while I had to see other dentists that were closer to me, but there was no comparison to the care I receive from Dr. Van Orman and his wonderful, brilliant, warm, friendly staff. I’ve been coming to The Van Orman Dental Group for 8 years now. I absolutely adore the front desk associate, Carla. Carla is so kind, personable and friendly. She always answers any questions that I have. Dr. Van Orman is highly skilled and such a trust worthy dentist. He always takes the time to explain what is happening and does such a thorough job with his examinations. Special shout out to my dental hygienist, Kenzie. She is absolutely amazing. The hygienist did the most gentle and thorough cleaning I’ve ever experienced! Both the cleaning and the exam were finished in an amazingly short time. All of the wonderful staff respect my time while doing exceptionally good work. Five years now and no intention of going anywhere else.

Found these folks when I moved to PDX area in 2023 based on recommendations from coworkers. They are a great dentist! Super gentle and very easy to work with. The folks are friendly and you can tell they really care about their patients. Had 4 visits so far and each one has been super easy.

Update Sept 2025: Still a great dentist and office. The go the extra mile when checking your insurance to keep out of pocket costs low. I can’t recommend these guys enough!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Van Orman for nearly 20 years and absolutely wouldn't consider going anywhere else for my dental work for a variety of reasons. Getting fillings, crowns, veneers, isn't fun and frankly can be a bit scary....Dr. Van Orman has a very gentle manner and is always mindful of your comfort level. He is extremely skilled and does amazing work. In addition he is there for you during emergencies and has made personal phone calls after a few of my lengthier procedures to see how I was doing. His office staff is kind and caring and the moment you enter you will get a warm and friendly greeting. In fact, the office staff will go out of their way to make you comfortable AND find ways to work with insurance companies. It is a family run business that you can trust. They go out of their way to ensure top level service. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Van Orman Dental Group!

My family was lucky to use the services of the Van Orman dental group for many years; too many years to remember, but likely over 15 years. The service was very good when we started, but I believe it only got better over the years. Exemplary service: He left his house at midnight for an emergency extraction of a broken tooth, for which my daughter was in great pain. He even called the next day (weekend) to check up on her.

Dr. Van Orman is very professional and experienced, but he also kept learning as technologies evolved. Furthermore, the staff was always great, from the front office to the assistants and hygienists, but I believe they have also gotten even better over time. We always were well-informed of costs and insurance benefits in a timely fashion, and treated fairly. I wasn't the best patient, but they always treated me with positive encouragement and patience.

Unfortunately, we recently moved from Oregon and now hope we can find a dentist we can appreciate and trust as much as we did Dr. Van Orman. Since we were not personal friends outside the dental office, and are no longer in the area, we have no personal reasons for providing this review except for our appreciation of Dr. Van Orman and his staff.

I’ve been going to Dr. Van Orman for several years. The very BEST dental assistants, hygienists, admin, and receptionists work there. They are ALL individually so warm, personable, and inviting — I truly look forward to going just to talk to them (how often can you say you look forward to going to a dentists’ office?!). Dr. Van Orman himself is fast, efficient, kind, direct, and is clearly a perfectionist which is exactly what I want in healthcare. I’ve also never waited more than one minute for appointments. Best dentists office, truly!
